The Electronic Recycling Association (ERA) is proud to highlight the successful donation of 50 technology devices to The Native Women’s Shelter of Montreal, helping expand access to technology for Indigenous women and families in the Montreal community.
The donation included 40 mobile phones, 5 tablets, and 5 laptops. These devices will support individuals and families by providing access to educational resources, employment opportunities, online services, communication tools, and digital skills development.
Technology has become an essential part of everyday life. Access to reliable devices can help individuals search for employment, attend virtual appointments, complete schoolwork, connect with support networks, and stay in touch with family and community members. Through this donation, ERA is helping ensure that more Indigenous women and families have the tools they need to participate fully in today’s digital world.
This initiative reflects ERA’s ongoing commitment to reducing electronic waste while creating meaningful social impact through technology reuse. By refurbishing and redistributing donated electronics, ERA helps extend the life of valuable technology while supporting charities, schools, non-profits, and community organizations across Canada.
We would like to thank the team at The Native Women’s Shelter of Montreal for the important work they do every day to support Indigenous women and families. ERA is honoured to contribute to their mission and looks forward to continuing to create opportunities through technology donations.
Together, we are proving that reused technology can create new opportunities, strengthen communities, and keep valuable electronics out of landfills.
