At the Electronic Recycling Association (ERA), we believe that every refurbished device has the power to strengthen communities, protect the environment, and create meaningful opportunities. We are proud to share our recent donation of two laptops to La Transformerie, a Montreal-based organization making a remarkable impact in the fight against food waste.
La Transformerie is dedicated to reducing food waste by creating positive and effective solutions for unsold fruits and groceries. By partnering with merchants and educating consumers, the organization prevents edible food from going to waste and transforms it into valuable products—all while raising awareness about sustainability and responsible consumption.
Why Technology Matters
With a growing team and expanding initiatives, La Transformerie needed additional equipment to support its operations. Laptops are essential tools for coordinating outreach, managing projects, and continuing their vital work to educate and inspire the community. ERA’s donation of two refurbished laptops, securely wiped and professionally restored, will help their staff stay connected and efficient as they scale their efforts.
Extending Impact Beyond Recycling
This donation reflects ERA’s commitment to bridging the digital divide and supporting Canadian nonprofits with the tools they need to succeed. Every device donated is one less item headed to landfill, and one more opportunity for organizations like La Transformerie to make a difference.
We’re honored to support La Transformerie as they continue their mission to reduce waste and inspire sustainable practices in Montreal and beyond.
If you’re a business or individual with surplus electronics, consider donating them to ERA. Together, we can extend the life of technology, support hundreds of Canadian charities, and keep harmful materials out of landfills.
