The Electronic Recycling Association (ERA) is proud to support the impactful work of the Shelley Cares Foundation in Scarborough, Ontario through a recent donation of a refurbished laptop. This contribution will replace the organization’s previous laptop, which had become non-functional and was beyond repair, ensuring that Shelley Cares Foundation can continue delivering programs that strengthen and uplift the community.
Supporting Community-Driven Programs
Shelley Cares Foundation is dedicated to providing vital resources, guidance, and support for individuals and families in need. Their programs—ranging from youth empowerment to community care initiatives—rely heavily on access to reliable technology.
By providing a refurbished laptop, ERA is helping the foundation:
- Manage program administration more efficiently
- Enhance communication with families, volunteers, and community partners
- Continue offering essential support services without disruption
Reliable technology plays a critical role in helping nonprofits expand their reach, streamline operations, and better serve the people who rely on them.
Empowering Communities Through Reused Technology
At ERA, our mission is centered on reducing e-waste and increasing digital access. Through refurbishing and redistributing donated electronics, we help keep valuable devices in use—benefiting both the environment and community organizations across Canada.
This donation to Shelley Cares Foundation is one example of the hundreds of technology donations ERA fulfills each year to charities, nonprofits, and vulnerable groups across the country.
