ERA Hosts Free Electronics Recycling & Data Destruction Event with Saskatoon Police Service for Fraud Prevention Month

March is Fraud Prevention Month, a time dedicated to raising awareness about protecting personal information and preventing fraud. As part of this important initiative, the Saskatoon Police Service’s Economic Crime Section is partnering with the Electronic Recycling Association (ERA) to host a free electronics recycling and secure data destruction event for the community.

This event provides residents and businesses with a safe and responsible way to dispose of unwanted electronics while ensuring sensitive data is permanently destroyed.

Time: 10:00 a.m. – 2:00 p.m.
Location: Saskatoon Police Service Headquarters – Gymnasium
(Access via the west visitor parking lot)

At this event, the Electronic Recycling Association will securely collect and destroy electronic devices to help prevent personal and confidential information from falling into the wrong hands.

Please note: Personal and household appliances will not be accepted.

Members of the Saskatoon Police Service’s Economic Crime Section will be onsite to answer questions and provide guidance on fraud prevention, identity protection, and data security best practices.
