By electronic recycling association March 11, 2026

As part of Fraud Prevention Month, the Assiniboia Chamber of Commerce and the Electronic Recycling Association (ERA) are partnering to host a Fraud Prevention and Secure Electronics Recycling Event for residents and businesses in Winnipeg.

The event will take place on March 27, 2026, from 11:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m. at Polo Park Mall (1485 Portage Ave, Winnipeg, MB). The collection will be held in the southwest parking lot along Portage Avenue, near TD Bank.

This community event offers a convenient and secure way for individuals and businesses to protect their personal data while responsibly recycling unwanted electronics.

ERA will have its mobile hard drive shredding unit onsite, allowing participants to securely destroy old hard drives and ensure sensitive information is permanently destroyed. Proper data destruction is an important step in preventing identity theft and protecting confidential data.

In addition to secure data destruction, ERA will also be collecting unwanted electronics for responsible recycling.
