Join the Better Business Bureau Serving Alberta and East Kootenay and the Electronic Recycling Association (ERA) for a Free Electronics Recycling & Secure Data Destruction Event in Celebration of Earth Month
Safely and responsibly dispose of your unused laptops, computers, phones, tablets, and other electronic devices—while protecting your data and the environment. In recognition of Earth Month, this event supports responsible reuse, recycling, and the circular economy by keeping electronics out of landfills and extending the life of technology.
ERA will also provide free on-site secure hard drive destruction, USBs, and discs using its Mobile Shredding Unit. ERA follows industry-leading data security and environmental standards, including ISO 27001 (Information Security Management), ISO 14001 (Environmental Management), and ISO 9001 (Quality Management), ensuring all devices and data are handled in compliance with the highest security and sustainability practices.
All collected items will be refurbished and donated to charities and community organizations across the Calgary area, supporting digital access, community development, and environmental sustainability.

ERA will bring its on-site mobile shredder, allowing businesses and community members to witness their data being securely destroyed in real time. Local businesses and community members are invited to attend and participate in this live data destruction event.
