ERA Donates Desktop Computers to Support Digital Skills Training
The Electronic Recycling Association (ERA) recently donated 9 refurbished desktop computers to Beyond Workspace in Pickering, Ontario, supporting their youth and adult digital skills training programs.
Beyond Workspace is dedicated to empowering individuals through accessible education and workforce development. This donation will directly enhance their in-person training programs, where participants build essential digital skills needed for today’s job market.
The donated computers will be used for hands-on instruction, including typing practice, Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook, basic computer literacy, and employment readiness training. Access to reliable, high-performance technology is critical in a classroom environment, especially when multiple learners rely on the same equipment. By providing high-end desktop computers, ERA helps ensure smooth operation, faster processing speeds, and long-term usability for ongoing training needs.
All devices will be used exclusively for educational purposes and maintained by Beyond Workspace to support consistent learning outcomes.
This initiative reflects ERA’s commitment to electronic recycling, reuse, and community impact. By refurbishing donated corporate IT equipment, ERA extends the lifecycle of electronics while reducing e-waste and supporting organizations that are building stronger, more digitally inclusive communities.
Through partnerships like this, ERA continues to bridge the digital divide—helping individuals gain the skills, confidence, and tools needed to succeed in today’s technology-driven world.
