Electronic Recycling Association (ERA) is proud to partner with Partners in Project Green and Diabetes Canada for the 2026 Recycling Collection Drive, bringing together organizations across the Greater Toronto Area (GTA) to promote sustainability, reduce waste, and give unwanted electronics a second life.

Taking place from October 12–25, 2026, during Circular Economy Month and Waste Reduction Week in Canada, this initiative encourages businesses and their employees to responsibly dispose of unwanted electronics, clothing, and textiles while supporting a more sustainable future.

GTA Organizations Unite for a Greener Future

Organized by Partners in Project Green, the Recycling Collection Drive brings together businesses, municipalities, and community organizations committed to reducing their environmental impact.

ERA is excited to recognize this year’s participating organizations:

  • Longo’s
  • Menkes Developments Ltd.

Through their participation, these organizations are demonstrating their commitment to environmental responsibility, employee engagement, and waste diversion.

Giving Unwanted Electronics a Second Life

As a participating recycling partner, Electronic Recycling Association (ERA) supports the collection of unwanted electronics, helping businesses responsibly manage retired technology while promoting reuse and recycling.

ERA’s mission goes beyond electronic waste recycling. Whenever possible, collected devices such as laptops, computers, and smartphones are refurbished and donated to charities, nonprofits, schools, and community organizations in need.

By extending the lifespan of technology, ERA helps reduce electronic waste, conserve valuable resources, and bridge the digital divide across Canada.

Alongside ERA’s electronics collection efforts, Diabetes Canada supports textile collection, encouraging the responsible diversion of unwanted clothing and household textiles.

Supporting Canada’s Circular Economy

Circular Economy Month and Waste Reduction Week provide an important opportunity to highlight how businesses and communities can work together to reduce waste.

The 2026 Recycling Collection Drive demonstrates that small actions, such as collecting unused electronics and clothing, can contribute to meaningful environmental change.

ERA extends its appreciation to Partners in Project Green, Diabetes Canada, and all participating organizations for their commitment to sustainability and community impact.

Together, we can keep valuable resources out of landfills, extend the life of reusable materials, and build a greener future.
