ERA Donates Printer to Trades Guild
The Electronic Recycling Association (ERA) is proud to announce the donation of a high-quality large-format printer to Trades Guild in Calgary, Alberta—an organization making a powerful impact by supporting marginalized youth through training and mentorship in the skilled trades.

At the heart of the Trades Guild’s mission is the belief in second chances. They offer a vital lifeline to young people in the community who are facing serious challenges, including unemployment, homelessness, addiction, mental health issues, or a lack of formal education. Through a combination of life skills programming, on-the-job training, and one-on-one mentorship, the Guild empowers these youth to build a more stable, productive, and hopeful future.
One key part of the Guild’s work involves producing technical project drawings for hands-on learning and community projects. For this, they were in need of a reliable, large-format printer:
“We are in search for a good quality printer that can print 11 x 17 paper as we do make a lot of project drawings that requires a larger size.”
In response, ERA donated a refurbished large-format printer to help them continue their hands-on training programs more efficiently.
This donation is part of ERA’s mission to reduce electronic waste while providing meaningful support to organizations making a real difference in their communities. By giving new life to used electronics, ERA not only helps the environment but also uplifts the people and programs that need technology the most.
