Turning Retired IT Assets into Community Impact

By electronic recycling association January 24, 2026

The Electronic Recycling Association (ERA) is proud to support Autism in Mind, a charitable organization based in Richmond Hill, Ontario, through the donation of three refurbished desktop computers. This contribution will strengthen the organization’s ability to deliver inclusive programs, resources, and support services for individuals and families affected by autism.

At ERA, we believe in reuse before recycle — extending the life of technology while creating meaningful community impact. By refurbishing donated electronics and redistributing them to charities and nonprofits, ERA reduces electronic waste while improving digital access for organizations that need it most.

Autism in Mind plays an essential role in building awareness, education, and support for the autism community across the Greater Toronto Area. This donation will enhance their operational capacity and help them better serve families through programming, administration, and community outreach initiatives.

Through partnerships with businesses and donors across Canada, ERA continues to bridge the digital divide, support local charities, and promote a circular economy — ensuring that technology is reused responsibly and securely.

If your organization is refreshing its IT assets, ERA offers secure pickups, certified data destruction, and comprehensive reporting, helping turn retired equipment into a lasting investment in Canada’s future workforce.
