At the Electronic Recycling Association (ERA), we believe that access to technology can open doors to education, employment, and brighter futures. We are proud to share our recent donation of a refurbished laptop to Build a Dream, a charity based in Ontario that empowers individuals to pursue careers in skilled trades, STEM, emergency response, and entrepreneurship.
This laptop is going directly to a participant in Build a Dream’s Career Support program. The recipient is currently enrolled in apprenticeship schooling and requires a reliable laptop to complete her training. Unfortunately, program funding does not cover electronic devices, creating a barrier for many clients who are eager to advance their careers.
By receiving this device, the participant will now be able to complete her coursework, stay on track with her apprenticeship, and continue working toward her dream of becoming a welder.
For many individuals, the lack of access to technology can limit opportunities for growth. Donations like this ensure that aspiring professionals can focus on achieving their goals without the additional worry of how to access essential tools.
Through partnerships with organizations like Build a Dream, ERA is proud to help bridge the digital divide, reduce e-waste, and create meaningful impact in communities across Canada.
If your business or household has gently used laptops, computers, or other electronic devices, consider donating them to the ERA. Your contribution not only helps divert e-waste from landfills but also empowers individuals and charities who depend on technology to learn, grow, and thrive.
