The Electronic Recycling Association (ERA) is proud to announce a meaningful donation of 25 desktop computers, a printer, and a projector to the National Iranian Canadian Assembly (NICA) in Gatineau, Quebec. This donation supports the creation of a new community center dedicated to empowering newcomers, refugees, seniors, and youth in the region.
NICA’s new facility will serve as a hub for education, digital literacy, and social integration. With a mission to foster inclusion and provide equal opportunities, the organization offers computer training, English and French language classes, and employment readiness programs. These essential services help participants gain the skills they need to integrate into Canadian society and join the workforce confidently.

“With our limited budget primarily supported by donations, ERA’s contribution of 25 computers will significantly enhance our capacity to deliver programs effectively and create lasting positive impacts in our community,” shared a NICA representative.
By refurbishing and donating gently used electronics, ERA continues to bridge the digital divide while reducing e-waste across Canada. Donations like this help organizations such as NICA expand their reach and provide vital technology access to those who need it most.
If your organization could benefit from a donation of computers or other tech equipment, or if your company would like to donate retired devices to support communities in need, please visit www.era.ca to learn more about ERA’s donation and recycling programs.
