The Electronic Recycling Association (ERA) recently donated four laptops to the Canadian Alliance for Self-Determination (CASD), a non-profit organization dedicated to transforming the way society supports individuals with disabilities and medical conditions. In a world where people with disabilities often face significant barriers, CASD stands as a beacon of hope. Their initiatives and advocacy work tirelessly to create a more inclusive and equitable society for everyone. And now, with ERA’s support, CASD is further equipped to empower individuals and make a real difference in their lives.

Canadian Alliance for Self-Determination focuses on challenging and transforming the traditional approaches to supporting individuals with disabilities and medical conditions. CASD’s work centers on promoting self-determination, inclusion, and empowerment for people of all abilities. Check out their Facebook page HERE.

ERA is a well-established Canadian non-profit dedicated to reducing electronic waste, promoting digital inclusion, and giving back to the community. They specialize in refurbishing and donating electronic devices to individuals, non-profits, and charitable organizations. ERA’s commitment to sustainability and social responsibility is commendable. By diverting electronic waste from landfills, they are not only protecting the environment but also actively contributing to social causes. ERA’s mission is a shining example of how businesses can make a positive impact on society.

The ERA (Electronic Recycling Association), is focused on reducing unnecessary waste and/or environmental impact through effective management of retiring electronic and IT equipment.  As a non-profit organization with deep community roots, it is our “reuse” focus and donation activities that set us apart from others in this sector. We are an ISO 9001:2015, ISO 14001:2015, and ISO 45001:2018 Certified Company that offers pickup services, comprehensive data security measures and subsequent reporting. Individuals and organizations alike move through technology hardware for a number of different reasons, and often there is ongoing productive use.  The ERA believes that “reuse” where ever possible is the most ecological approach to this growing stream, and an excellent way to compel real community goodwill at the same time. The Electronic Recycling Association has a clear mission of reducing electronic waste through computer recycling, laptop recycling and computer donation services. With depots throughout Vancouver, Calgary, Edmonton and all of Canada. ERA provides a great way to recycle electronic equipment safely and securely.
