The Electronic Recycling Association (ERA) is proud to support Fresh Start Recovery and Wellness Center, a brand-new charity launched in May 2025 in Labrador City, Newfoundland and Labrador. As a new organization working hard to establish essential services for individuals facing substance-use challenges, Fresh Start is in critical need of technology to operate effectively and serve clients with flexibility and care.
To help them build their foundation, the ERA has donated a package of essential equipment including a laptop, printer, two monitors, and a projector.
These devices will help Fresh Start manage day-to-day operations, support administrative work, and assist with program delivery. The organization shared that all donated items will be used directly to support the operation of their services—from running workshops and presentations to maintaining client records and delivering community outreach.
Because Fresh Start staff often need to meet clients where they are, mobility is essential. The donated laptop will allow their team to work on the go, ensuring they can continue providing care and services in the community whenever needed.
Reuse Before Recycle: ERA’s Commitment to Community Impact
At ERA, our mission is to reduce electronic waste through reuse, refurbishment, and donation. Every device donated helps us bridge the digital divide while keeping electronics out of landfills. Through partnerships with organizations like the SFNWA, we ensure that repurposed technology has a second life supporting meaningful community work.
