ERA Proudly Donates Laptops to the Centre for Newcomers in Calgary
At the Electronic Recycling Association (ERA), we believe technology is a powerful tool for inclusion, education, and opportunity. In line with our mission to reduce electronic waste and support communities in need, we are proud to announce our recent donation of two refurbished laptops to the Centre for Newcomers in Calgary, Alberta.
Creating Opportunities for Newcomers Through Technology
The Centre for Newcomers offers vital support to immigrants and refugees through employment programs, language training, and cultural integration initiatives. While these services are essential for helping newcomers settle into Canadian life, access to reliable technology is often a critical missing piece.
By donating these laptops, ERA aims to empower newcomers with the tools needed to pursue education, find employment, communicate effectively, and gain independence. These devices serve as much more than just hardware – they are gateways to opportunity and connection in a new country.
Supporting Sustainability and Community Impact
This donation is a reflection of ERA’s commitment to both environmental responsibility and social good. Instead of letting valuable electronics end up in landfills, we extend their lifespan by giving them to organizations and individuals who need them most.
