Supporting Sustainability Through Responsible Recycling
Many households and businesses have unused electronics stored away. This Earth Day, Cityplace Winnipeg offers an accessible opportunity to ensure these items are handled responsibly.
ERA accepts a variety of electronics, including laptops, desktop computers, cell phones, tablets, printers, and accessories. Collected devices are either securely recycled or refurbished and redistributed to charities, schools, and nonprofit organizations, helping to extend the lifecycle of technology while supporting communities in need.
Secure Data Destruction and Environmental Responsibility
Data security remains a key priority for all participants. ERA follows industry-standard data destruction processes to ensure that all devices are thoroughly wiped before reuse or recycling.
In addition to protecting sensitive information, this initiative contributes to reducing electronic waste and minimizing environmental impact.
Creating Measurable Community Impact
By participating in this event, individuals and organizations contribute to:
- Diverting electronic waste from landfills
- Supporting digital access for underserved communities
- Promoting sustainable practices during Earth Month
Each device collected plays a role in advancing environmental responsibility and social impact.
