This September, the Electronic Recycling Association (ERA) proudly partnered with the Better Business Bureau (BBB) of Central Canada to host a community electronic collection event in Regina, Saskatchewan.
The initiative invited residents and local businesses to safely recycle or donate their unwanted electronics—promoting responsible e-waste management, data security, and digital inclusion across the province.
Supporting Digital Access and Environmental Sustainability
Thanks to the generosity of Regina’s community members, ERA collected a wide range of reusable electronic devices. Each contribution helps reduce environmental impact by diverting e-waste from landfills and enables ERA to refurbish and redistribute technology to organizations and individuals who need it most.
As a direct result of this event, ERA donated two refurbished laptops to Vision Loss Rehabilitation Canada in Saskatoon, helping to expand access to digital tools that empower individuals living with vision loss.
Building Greener, More Connected Communities
ERA is proud to collaborate with community-focused partners like the BBB of Central Canada to raise awareness about the importance of secure and sustainable electronic recycling. Initiatives like this not only provide Canadians with a responsible way to dispose of old technology but also ensure that these devices continue to make a meaningful impact through reuse.
By choosing to donate rather than discard, Canadians play a vital role in creating a cleaner environment and a more connected, equitable society.
