Electronic Recycling Association and MPPs Billy Pang & Logan Kanapathi Donate 200 Refurbished Devices to York Region Educational Services
Markham, ON – The Electronic Recycling Association (ERA), in collaboration with MPP Logan Kanapathi (Markham–Thornhill) and MPP Billy Pang (Markham—Unionville), has donated 150 refurbished laptops and 50 projectors to York Region Educational Services (YRES), expanding access to essential technology for children, volunteers, and community members.
This donation will enable YRES to launch a new computer lab for children’s programs and volunteer workstations in Fall 2025, while also equipping clients with the tools they need to participate in online programs, training, and services.
York Region Educational Services is a registered charitable organization dedicated to supporting individuals with special learning needs while fostering inclusive, socially integrated communities across York Region and surrounding areas.
“Strong communities are built when everyone has the tools to succeed,” said Billy Pang, MPP for Markham–Unionville. “It’s heartwarming to see ERA partnering with YRES to provide refurbished technology and resources that help individuals learn, grow, and thrive.”
“I deeply appreciate the ERA’s generous donation,” said Logan Kanapathi, MPP for Markham–Thornhill. “These devices will expand digital access, create new learning opportunities, and strengthen our community.”
