The Electronic Recycling Association (ERA) is proud to support Mishka Social Services in Hamilton, Ontario, through the donation of six professionally refurbished laptops to help strengthen their community programs and digital services.
As a Canadian non-profit dedicated to electronic recycling, secure data destruction, and technology reuse, ERA works with businesses across Canada to refurbish surplus IT equipment and donate it to charities, schools, and non-profit organizations. This reuse-before-recycle approach reduces electronic waste while expanding access to essential technology for communities in need.
The donated laptops will support Mishka Social Services’ programming by enabling staff and participants to access online resources, complete administrative and program-related tasks, and improve digital engagement across their services. Reliable technology plays a critical role in delivering community programs, accessing virtual supports, and maintaining efficient operations—especially for organizations serving vulnerable populations.
By providing refurbished devices, ERA helps remove barriers to digital access while ensuring sensitive data from donor organizations is securely wiped in accordance with industry standards. Each device donated through ERA’s program contributes to environmental sustainability and social impact across Ontario and Canada.
Organizations and businesses with surplus IT equipment are encouraged to partner with ERA to responsibly recycle electronics and support local charities through meaningful technology donations.
