At the Electronic Recycling Association (ERA), our mission goes beyond electronic recycling — we turn retired technology into opportunities for connection, learning, and growth. By securely refurbishing donated devices and providing them to charities, schools, and nonprofits across Canada, we help reduce e-waste while empowering communities with essential tools.
We’re proud to announce that ERA has donated 7 refurbished laptops to the Canadian Mental Health Association – Calgary Region (CMHA Calgary). These devices will help staff and program participants access the technology they need to connect, learn, and thrive.
Empowering Mental Health Services Through Technology
CMHA Calgary offers education, peer support, and outreach programs designed to reduce stigma, improve mental wellness, and foster inclusion. With these donated laptops, their team can:
- Support program participants with online resources, training, and workshops
- Facilitate virtual counseling sessions and peer support meetings
- Strengthen community outreach and service delivery through improved access to technology
By providing these laptops, ERA is helping expand CMHA Calgary’s digital capacity, ensuring more individuals have access to the mental health services they need.

Every device ERA donates begins with a community contribution. Businesses and individuals donate unused laptops, desktops, tablets, and phones. Our certified team securely wipes all data in compliance with ISO standards, refurbishes the equipment, and places it with organizations like CMHA Calgary — giving technology a second life and keeping it out of landfills.
