The Electronic Recycling Association (ERA) continues its mission to reduce electronic waste while strengthening communities across Canada through a recent technology donation to Kennedy House in Toronto, Ontario.
ERA donated five refurbished laptops, two monitors, and one projector to Kennedy House to help enhance the organization’s programs and day-to-day operations. This donation ensures that usable technology is kept out of landfills while being redirected to support youth who need it most.

Empowering Youth Through Access to Technology
Kennedy House supports youth ages 16 to 24 who are experiencing homelessness by providing a safe place to stay, along with essential programs focused on stability, education, and employment readiness. Access to reliable technology plays a critical role in helping young people move toward independence.
The donated laptops, monitors, and projector will be used to:
- Support job searches, résumé building, and online applications
- Assist youth with schoolwork, online learning, and skills development
- Improve program delivery, workshops, and group learning sessions
- Strengthen administrative capacity so staff can better support clients
With these tools, Kennedy House can expand its ability to help youth build confidence, gain digital skills, and work toward long-term housing and employment stability.
