Electronic Recycling Association Supports CIO Peer Forum® Vancouver 2026 with Sustainable IT Solutions

By electronic recycling association April 11, 2026

The Electronic Recycling Association (ERA) is proud to sponsor the CIO Peer Forum® Vancouver 2026, a premier gathering of Canada’s top technology leaders focused on innovation, digital transformation, and enterprise growth.

As part of this, ERA will provide secure electronics recycling and free on-site hard drive shredding services for all conference attendees. Participants are encouraged to bring small electronic devices for responsible disposal, ensuring sensitive data is securely destroyed while supporting environmental sustainability.

All collected devices will undergo certified data destruction and secure data wiping, in alignment with industry-leading standards. Reusable equipment will be professionally refurbished and redistributed to charities and non-profit organizations across Canada, helping bridge the digital divide while reducing electronic waste.

Supporting Canada’s Technology Leaders with Sustainable IT Solutions

The CIO Peer Forum® Vancouver brings together senior IT executives who are shaping the future of Canada’s digital economy. As organizations face increasing demands around cybersecurity, infrastructure modernization, and innovation, the role of IT leadership continues to evolve beyond technology implementation to strategic business enablement.

Today’s CIOs are not only responsible for managing complex IT environments—they are instrumental in driving organizational growth, safeguarding critical infrastructure, and delivering long-term value.

Advancing a Circular Economy Through Responsible IT Recycling

ERA’s participation in the CIO Peer Forum® Vancouver highlights the importance of integrating secure IT asset disposition (ITAD) and sustainable practices into modern technology strategies.

By promoting reuse before recycling, ERA helps organizations:

  • Extend the lifecycle of electronic devices
  • Reduce environmental impact and e-waste
  • Ensure secure handling of sensitive data
  • Support Canadian charities through technology donations

This initiative aligns with ERA’s mission to protect both data security and the environment, while creating meaningful social impact through technology reuse.
