ERA Donates 15 Laptops to Kayas Cultural College in Northern Alberta
At the Electronic Recycling Association (ERA), we are committed to reducing e-waste and promoting digital inclusion by giving refurbished electronics a second life. For over 20 years, ERA has proudly supported nonprofits, schools, and Indigenous communities across Canada with access to essential technology.
Our latest donation of 15 refurbished laptops to Kayas Cultural College is a meaningful step in advancing Indigenous education and sustainability. Located in Northern Alberta, Kayas Cultural College serves the Little Red River Cree Nation by offering adult education, trades training, and cultural programs rooted in Cree language and traditions.

These laptops will be used to support the college’s academic upgrading programs, Cree cultural initiatives, and apprenticeship training, providing both students and staff with the digital tools necessary to succeed in today’s connected world.
Diverting E-Waste from Landfills, One Device at a Time
Every donation made by ERA helps reduce the environmental impact of electronic waste. All devices go through a secure, ISO-certified data wiping and refurbishment process before they are distributed to organizations in need. Thanks to the generous support of Canadian individuals and businesses who donate their old electronics, ERA is currently working to fulfill tech requests from over 500 charities and schools on our waitlist.
