Electronic Recycling in Edmonton: ERA Donates 5 Laptops to Futures Leadership Institute

By electronic recycling association November 15, 2025

The Electronic Recycling Association (ERA) is proud to announce the donation of five refurbished laptops to the Futures Leadership Institute in Edmonton, Alberta. This contribution will help equip students with the tools they need to strengthen their digital skills, improve their academic performance, and build confidence as they pursue future opportunities.

The Futures Leadership Institute works closely with youth who are building foundational skills—particularly students with lower language proficiency. For these learners, consistent access to technology can make a profound difference. The laptops provided by ERA will be allocated to the students who will benefit the most from long-term access to reliable digital devices.

With these laptops, students will be able to:

  • Practice language-learning programs
  • Complete homework and class assignments
  • Access online educational tools
  • Improve typing, communication, and digital literacy
  • Participate more fully in classroom activities

ERA’s Commitment to Bridging the Digital Divide

At ERA, our mission is to reduce electronic waste through reuse while supporting communities across Canada. By refurbishing and redistributing donated technology, we help charities, nonprofits, and community organizations provide essential digital access to the individuals they serve.

This donation reflects ERA’s continued dedication to:

  • Environmental sustainability
  • Community empowerment
  • Improving digital inclusion for underserved populations

A Thank You to Our Donors

ERA can make an impact through the generosity of individuals and businesses who donate their used electronics. Every device contributes to reducing e-waste and creating new opportunities for communities in need.

If your organization has retired laptops, desktops, or other electronics, consider donating to the Electronic Recycling Association. Together, we can extend the life of technology and help build brighter futures.
