The Electronic Recycling Association (ERA) is proud to support community-based family services through a recent technology donation to the Wellington Pregnancy Care Centre in Fergus, Ontario. ERA donated two refurbished laptops and one monitor to help strengthen the organization’s digital capacity and improve day-to-day operations that directly support individuals and families experiencing unexpected pregnancies.
Wellington Pregnancy Care Centre provides compassionate, confidential support to individuals navigating unplanned pregnancies. As a registered non-profit charitable organization, the centre relies entirely on community donations to deliver free programs and services, including client support, education, and online parenting classes. Access to reliable technology plays an important role in ensuring these essential services remain accessible and efficient.
Prior to this donation, the centre’s computers were outdated and no longer supported current operating systems or required software updates. This created challenges for administrative work, virtual programming, and digital client resources. The refurbished laptops and monitor provided by ERA will allow staff and volunteers to work more efficiently, access secure online tools, and deliver programming without technical interruptions.
By extending the life of professionally refurbished electronics, ERA helps reduce electronic waste while improving digital access for charities and community organizations across Ontario and Canada. All donated devices are securely data wiped and prepared to meet modern performance standards, ensuring organizations receive reliable, ready-to-use technology.
