ERA Donates Computers to Support Creative Community at Ateliers Belleville

The Electronic Recycling Association (ERA) continues its mission of reducing e-waste and supporting communities across Canada through meaningful technology donations. Most recently, ERA donated 2 laptops, 3 desktop computers, and 1 projector to Ateliers Belleville, a non-profit organization based in Montréal.

This donation will help equip Ateliers Belleville’s shared workshop spaces with essential technology, creating accessible workstations for members of their community. These devices will be used to operate machines and support a wide range of artistic and fabrication projects, empowering individuals with the tools they need to create, learn, and collaborate.

Ateliers Belleville plays an important role in Montréal’s creative ecosystem by providing a collaborative environment for artists, makers, and innovators. With the addition of these computers and projector, the organization can enhance its programming and improve access to digital tools that are often out of reach for many community members.

Through initiatives like this, ERA continues to demonstrate the value of “reuse before recycling.” Donated electronics are securely data wiped, refurbished, and redistributed to charities and non-profits, extending the life of devices while reducing environmental impact.

As the demand for technology continues to grow, many organizations across Canada remain on ERA’s waitlist for essential equipment. Donations from businesses and individuals help bridge this digital divide while ensuring responsible electronic recycling practices.

If your organization is upgrading its IT equipment, consider donating your used laptops, desktops, tablets, and other electronics to ERA. Your contribution can make a meaningful difference in communities like Montréal while supporting sustainability and digital inclusion.
