Electronic Recycling in Toronto: ERA Donates Computers to Alpha House Recovery Community

By electronic recycling association March 20, 2026

The Electronic Recycling Association (ERA) is proud to support local organizations through responsible electronic recycling and technology reuse. Most recently, ERA donated two desktop computers to the Alpha House Recovery Community in Toronto, Ontario.

This donation will play a meaningful role in supporting both clients and staff at Alpha House. The computers will be used to assist residents with job searches, helping individuals access online applications, build resumes, and connect with employment opportunities as they work toward stability and independence.

In addition, the devices will support a new staff office currently being developed onsite. Reliable technology is essential for administrative work, communication, and program coordination, allowing staff to better serve the community and enhance the overall impact of their programs.

Alpha House Recovery Community provides essential support services to individuals on their recovery journey, offering a safe and structured environment that promotes long-term success. Access to technology is a key component in helping clients rebuild their lives, develop new skills, and pursue meaningful employment opportunities.

Through donations like this, ERA continues to reduce electronic waste while bridging the digital divide. By refurbishing and redistributing donated electronics, ERA ensures that usable devices are given a second life—benefiting both the environment and communities in need.

If your organization has unwanted electronics, consider donating to ERA. Your contribution can help support charities like Alpha House while promoting sustainability and secure electronic recycling.
