Electronic Recycling Initiative in Winnipeg Supports Youth STEM Education

By electronic recycling association July 21, 2025

The Electronic Recycling Association (ERA) is proud to support STEM education in Manitoba through a recent donation to Young Engineers Winnipeg. As part of our ongoing mission to bridge the digital divide and promote sustainable tech reuse, ERA has donated 2 refurbished laptops and 1 projector to help enhance the delivery of hands-on learning experiences.

Young Engineers Winnipeg offers engaging science, technology, engineering, and mathematics (STEM) programs to students of all ages, empowering young minds to innovate and explore through interactive projects and structured lessons. With the addition of this equipment, instructors will now be able to display visual materials more effectively, lead structured classes with greater efficiency, and ensure students can follow along with lesson plans and builds in real time.

This donation will directly support classroom presentations, daily lesson sharing, and demonstrations—ensuring each student has the tools and guidance needed to explore the exciting world of STEM.

At the ERA, we believe in the power of technology to transform education and opportunity. By refurbishing and redistributing used electronics, we not only help the environment by diverting e-waste from landfills, but also support local programs like Young Engineers Winnipeg that are shaping the future of innovation.

If you or your business have unwanted electronics, consider donating them to ERA. Your contribution could provide a valuable educational opportunity for youth in your community.
