ERA Donation Helps BorderMinds Educator Continue Her Work

The Electronic Recycling Association (ERA) is proud to support BorderMinds, a dedicated charity based in North York, Ontario, with the donation of a laptop and monitor.

This thoughtful contribution ensures that a senior facilitator at BorderMinds, whose only source of income is disability benefits, can continue hosting valuable community classes. Her previous laptop had become unusable, and replacing it was beyond her financial means. Without access to a working computer, her ability to teach and connect with students would have been severely impacted.

Thanks to ERA’s donation, she can now continue providing educational opportunities to those who rely on her programs—helping bridge the digital divide and promote community learning.

About BorderMinds

BorderMinds is a registered Canadian charity founded by individuals living with Borderline Personality Disorder (BPD). The organization is passionate about dismantling the stigma surrounding BPD, offering educational resources and support programs that empower individuals to manage their condition and thrive.

Through classes, events, and community outreach, BorderMinds fosters a deep sense of belonging and mutual understanding among those affected by BPD and their loved ones.

At ERA, we believe in the power of reuse and the importance of ensuring that technology continues to serve those in need. Every refurbished device we donate extends the lifecycle of electronics, reduces e-waste, and empowers communities across Canada to make a meaningful difference.

If your organization could benefit from a technology donation—or if you’d like to contribute to our mission by donating your old electronics—please call 1-877-939-2783 or visit www.era.ca to learn more about how you can get involved.
