Electronic Recycling That Creates Community Impact in Toronto

By electronic recycling association February 28, 2026

The Electronic Recycling Association (ERA) is proud to announce the donation of 15 laptops to The Linden School in Toronto, ON. This contribution supports digital inclusion, equitable access to technology, and responsible electronic reuse in the Greater Toronto Area.

Supporting Student Success Through Technology

The donated laptops will help students complete exams in a safe, secure, and monitored environment, ensuring they have reliable access to the tools they need to succeed academically. Many learners at The Linden School require laptop access as part of their Individualized Education Plans (IEPs), which provide essential accommodations to support diverse learning needs.

By providing refurbished laptops, ERA helps remove technology barriers that can impact student performance and confidence—particularly during exams and assessments where access to the right tools is critical.

Equity and Social Justice in Education

Although The Linden School is a private institution, it operates as a not-for-profit organization, with the majority of students attending on bursaries. The school maintains a strong commitment to equity and social justice in education, ensuring that financial circumstances do not limit academic opportunity.

ERA’s laptop donation aligns directly with this mission—extending the lifecycle of electronics while empowering students through access to technology.

Electronic Recycling That Creates Community Impact

Through responsible electronic recycling and refurbishment, ERA diverts devices from landfills and redistributes them to charities, schools, and nonprofit organizations across Canada. Every donation represents:

  • Reduced electronic waste
  • Secure data destruction
  • Increased access to technology
  • Meaningful environmental and social impact

If your business or organization has unused laptops, desktops, or IT equipment, consider donating to ERA. Together, we can support schools like The Linden School while protecting the environment and strengthening our communities.
