ERA and Genetec Donate 10 Laptops to Concertation-Femme
At the Electronic Recycling Association (ERA), our mission is to reduce electronic waste while empowering communities with access to technology. Through valuable partnerships, we give new life to used electronics—and open new opportunities for those who need them most.
We are proud to announce the donation of 10 refurbished laptops to Concertation-Femme, a Montreal-based organization dedicated to supporting immigrant women in their journey toward social, cultural, and economic integration.
This donation was made possible through the generous support of Genetec, one of ERA’s long-standing partners committed to sustainability and community impact. Their ongoing contributions allow us to fulfill urgent technology requests from charities and nonprofits across Canada.
Technology for Inclusion and Independence
Concertation-Femme will use the donated laptops to facilitate workshops designed to teach women how to navigate the digital world. These programs focus on building essential skills such as:
- Sending emails
- Writing resumes
- Accessing online services
- Researching employment opportunities
- Developing digital confidence
For many of the women supported by Concertation-Femme, these skills are life-changing. Access to technology helps break down barriers, enabling participants to become more self-sufficient and better equipped to contribute to their communities.
Bridging the Digital Divide
At ERA, we believe that access to technology should not be a privilege—it should be a right. With over 500 Canadian charities currently on our waitlist for devices, every corporate donation of used electronics allows us to reach more people in need. Refurbished computers, laptops, and tablets can help someone learn new skills, access education, or find employment.
