ERA and New Westminster Police: Uniting Against Fraud

By electronic recycling association April 16, 2024

Recycling Association (ERA) and the New Westminster Police Department joined forces for a significant event on April 13, 2024. This event not only raised awareness about securely recycling electronic devices to prevent fraud and identity theft but also made a tangible impact by diverting 5527.4 pounds of electronic waste from landfills.

As part of the event, a ERA’s AmeriShred mobile destruction units was made available to the public for free shredding and data wiping of hard drives, further emphasizing the importance of secure disposal practices. Additionally, the items collected will undergo refurbishment and be donated back to the community, contributing to both environmental preservation and social welfare.

We extend our heartfelt gratitude to the New Westminster Police Department for teaming up with ERA for such an important event. Their partnership underscores the power of collaboration in addressing pressing societal issues. Together, we can create safer communities while also fostering sustainability for future generations.
