ERA and Realstar Properties Launch Earth Month Residential Electronics Recycling Initiatives Across Canada

By electronic recycling association April 2, 2026

The Electronic Recycling Association (ERA) is proud to partner with Realstar Properties to support Earth Month 2026 through a series of residential electronics recycling initiatives at multiple Realstar communities across Canada.

These resident-focused electronics collection drives provide a convenient and secure way for tenants to responsibly dispose of unwanted electronics while supporting environmental sustainability and technology reuse. Collected items will be assessed for refurbishment and donation whenever possible, helping extend the lifecycle of electronics and reduce electronic waste.

Supporting Responsible Electronics Recycling During Earth Month

Earth Month provides an important opportunity to promote sustainable practices and reduce electronic waste. Through this collaboration, ERA and Realstar Properties aim to encourage responsible recycling while providing residents with accessible options to safely dispose of electronics.

All collected electronics will be handled in accordance with ERA’s secure data destruction and responsible recycling standards. Devices suitable for reuse may be refurbished and donated to charities, schools, and non-profit organizations in need.

What Happens to Collected Electronics

ERA prioritizes reuse before recycling. Electronics collected during these initiatives will be evaluated for refurbishment and potential donation to community organizations. Non-reusable items will be responsibly recycled to ensure environmentally safe processing and waste diversion.

Through partnerships like this, ERA and Realstar Properties continue working together to reduce electronic waste and promote sustainable environmental practices across Canada.
