ERA and the Better Business Bureau of Central Canada Partner to Promote Responsible E-Waste Recycling in Winnipeg

By electronic recycling association October 14, 2025

This September, the Electronic Recycling Association (ERA) was proud to partner with the Better Business Bureau (BBB) of Central Canada to host a community electronic collection event in Winnipeg, Manitoba. The initiative invited local businesses and residents to safely and securely donate or recycle their unwanted electronics — promoting responsible e-waste management and digital inclusion across the province.

Supporting Digital Access and Environmental Responsibility

Through the generosity of Winnipeg’s community members, ERA collected a wide variety of reusable electronic devices. These donations not only help protect the environment by diverting electronics from landfills but also allow ERA to refurbish and redistribute technology to organizations in need.

As a direct result of this event, ERA donated five desktop computers to Humanitarian Solidarity for Development and Empowerment (HSDE), a local Winnipeg organization dedicated to empowering communities through education, social support, and humanitarian action.

Continuing to Build Greener, More Connected Communities

ERA is proud to continue working alongside partners like the Better Business Bureau of Central Canada to raise awareness about secure and sustainable e-waste recycling. By participating in events like this, Canadians can contribute to a cleaner environment and help provide technology to those who need it most.
