The Electronic Recycling Association (ERA) continues its mission of reducing electronic waste while supporting communities across Canada. Recently, ERA donated two desktop computers, two laptops, and one projector to Growing Opportunities for Adult Life Skills, helping expand access to technology and strengthen educational programming.
Through ERA’s electronics donation and refurbishment program, unwanted or unused electronics are securely processed, refurbished when possible, and redistributed to charities, schools, and nonprofit organizations that need reliable technology.
Supporting Community Programs Through Technology Donations
Access to computers and digital tools plays a critical role in organizations that deliver education, training, and life-skills development programs. Without reliable technology, many community groups struggle to provide effective digital learning opportunities.
As a result, ERA donated equipment to Growing Opportunities for Adult Life Skills to help strengthen their programs and improve access to technology. The donated devices support presentations, workshops, and digital learning activities.
In addition, these computers and laptops allow staff and participants to access the technology they need for educational programs, group learning sessions, and everyday operations.
Through technology donations and refurbishment, ERA helps organizations expand their programs while promoting digital inclusion and better access to technology.
Reducing Electronic Waste Through Technology Reuse
ERA’s approach prioritizes reuse before recycling, ensuring that usable electronics continue to serve communities before being responsibly recycled.
Electronic waste is one of the fastest-growing waste streams globally. By refurbishing and redistributing electronics, ERA helps reduce the environmental impact of discarded devices while extending their lifespan.
Through ERA’s electronics reuse program:
- Devices are securely data wiped and refurbished
- Electronics are donated to charities and nonprofit organizations
- Equipment that cannot be reused is responsibly recycled
- Organizations receive technology to support their services
This process helps reduce landfill waste while creating meaningful community impact.
Donate Electronics and Support Communities
ERA works with businesses, institutions, and individuals across Canada to collect, refurbish, and donate electronics to organizations in need.
Donating electronics to ERA helps:
- Reduce electronic waste
- Support environmental sustainability
- Provide computers and technology to nonprofits
