The Electronic Recycling Association (ERA) recently made a tech contribution to the Seniors Outreach Kneehill County to support their Seniors Outreach Program in Three Hills, Alberta. ERA donated four desktop computers and a laptop, providing a much-needed technology upgrade for the program.
For years, the Seniors Outreach Kneehill County has been operating with computers that are over eight years old. The slow and outdated computers have been a constant challenge for the staff, who use them to help senior clients access essential services. Whether it’s assisting with online applications, managing communication, or providing digital literacy training, reliable technology is crucial for the effective operation of the program. The frequent delays and technical issues have often left staff waiting for extended periods for programs to open, significantly hampering their ability to serve the community efficiently.
The donation from ERA couldn’t have come at a better time. The tech donation will replace the outdated equipment, bringing a much-needed boost in performance and reliability. With faster boot-up times and more efficient operations, the staff can now focus on what they do best: helping senior clients navigate the digital world and access the services they need.
This upgrade will not only improve the daily workflow for the staff but also enhance the overall quality of service provided to the senior community. The new computers will enable the Seniors Outreach Kneehill County to expand its reach, helping more clients in a timely and effective manner. The improved technology will streamline operations, reduce waiting times, and allow the staff to dedicate more time to supporting their clients’ needs.
