ERA Donates Desktop Computer to Support Pivot Theatre’s New Vancouver Space

By electronic recycling association November 22, 2025

The Electronic Recycling Association (ERA) is proud to donate a refurbished desktop computer to Pivot Theatre, a non-profit theatre company making a meaningful impact in British Columbia’s arts community.

Founded in 2021, Pivot Theatre has been based in Surrey, BC since day one. Recently, however, the organization lost its space and is now transitioning to a new home in Vancouver. While the move represents an exciting new chapter, it also means rebuilding their essential office infrastructure — and that’s where ERA was able to help.

Supporting Community Arts Through Technology Reuse

Pivot Theatre is dedicated to fostering creativity, community engagement, and inclusive access to the arts. As they settle into their new Vancouver location, having reliable office equipment is critical for administrative work, production planning, communications, and volunteer coordination.

Through ERA’s donation of a refurbished desktop computer, Pivot Theatre can continue focusing on what matters most — creating meaningful artistic experiences and connecting with the community.

Extending the Life of Technology for Community Impact

At ERA, we believe technology should never go to waste when it can still make a difference. By refurbishing and reusing donated equipment, we help organizations like Pivot Theatre reduce expenses, direct more funding toward their mission, and support environmental sustainability.

This donation is one of thousands made each year to charities, non-profits, and community groups across Canada — part of ERA’s ongoing effort to bridge the digital divide and keep usable electronics out of landfills.
