The Electronic Recycling Association (ERA) is proud to donate a laptop, printer, two monitors, and a projector to the Parksville-Qualicum Community Foundation (PQCF). This donation comes at an important time as the 26-year-old Foundation hires its first-ever Executive Director to meet growing community needs on Vancouver Island.
Supporting PQCF’s Growth
PQCF’s endowment recently doubled in size, increasing demand for stronger administration, communication, and community outreach. The donated devices will help the Foundation establish a secure workstation for their new Executive Director and provide volunteers with the tools needed to serve the community more effectively.
ERA’s Mission in Action
As a Canadian non-profit, ERA focuses on reducing e-waste and expanding digital access. We securely collect and refurbish unwanted electronics, redistributing them to charities, schools, and community groups that need affordable technology. This approach keeps reusable devices out of landfills while empowering organizations like PQCF to operate more efficiently.
Creating Community Impact Through Reuse
The equipment donated to PQCF will:
- Support the setup of a modern, secure workstation
- Reduce technology costs for the Foundation
- Strengthen their capacity to serve the community
This donation reflects ERA’s commitment to helping charities across Canada access technology that enables impact.
