ERA Donates Laptop to Support Wilderness Youth Challenge Program in Edmonton

By electronic recycling association March 30, 2026

The Electronic Recycling Association (ERA) is proud to support youth development initiatives across Canada through its ongoing donation program. Most recently, ERA donated a laptop to the Wilderness Youth Challenge Program in Edmonton, helping empower young participants with access to essential technology.

The Wilderness Youth Challenge Program plays a vital role in supporting youth by providing outdoor experiences that foster confidence, leadership, and personal growth. By integrating technology into their programming, they are able to enhance communication, organization, and learning opportunities for participants both in and out of the field.

This laptop donation will assist program coordinators and youth in accessing educational resources, managing program logistics, and staying connected. Access to reliable technology is increasingly important for nonprofit organizations, especially those focused on youth development and community engagement.

At ERA, we believe in the power of reuse to create meaningful social impact. All donated devices are securely data wiped in accordance with industry standards and refurbished to ensure strong performance and reliability. Through this process, electronics are given a second life—reducing e-waste while supporting organizations that make a difference in their communities.

As a nonprofit organization, ERA continues to work with businesses and individuals across Canada to divert electronics from landfills and redirect them to charities, schools, and programs in need. With hundreds of organizations on our waitlist, every donation plays a critical role in bridging the digital divide.

We are grateful for the opportunity to support the Wilderness Youth Challenge Program and the important work they do for youth in Edmonton. Together, we are turning old technology into new opportunities.
