The Electronic Recycling Association (ERA) recently donated six refurbished laptops to Ebenezer Relief Society, supporting the organization’s work with individuals and families through education, skills development, employment guidance, and community programs.
Ebenezer Relief Society provides services including skill and language training, employment guidance, educational support, community development, youth programs, and essential relief services.
Access to reliable technology is increasingly important for online learning, job applications, government services, communication, and professional development. These six laptops will help expand access to digital tools and support participants working toward greater independence and opportunity.
Giving Technology a Second Life
ERA follows a reuse-first approach to electronics recycling.
Businesses across Canada regularly replace laptops, computers, tablets, monitors, and other IT equipment. Many of these devices still have useful life remaining.
ERA collects unwanted electronics and checks which devices can be reused. Our team securely wipes data, refurbishes suitable equipment, and prepares it for a second life.
We then provide refurbished technology to charities, schools, non-profits, care facilities, and community organizations across Canada.
This approach helps reduce electronic waste (e-waste) and keeps useful technology in circulation longer.
