The Electronic Recycling Association (ERA) is proud to announce the donation of five refurbished laptops to the Centre for Eastern European Democracy (CEED) in Toronto. This contribution supports CEED’s mission to promote democratic values, civil society, and independent journalism across Eastern Europe and Eurasia.
ERA’s Commitment to Reducing E-Waste and Bridging the Digital Divide
Every year, thousands of usable devices are discarded across Canada. ERA offers a sustainable solution by securely refurbishing donated electronics and redistributing them to charities, nonprofits, and community organizations in need. These efforts not only divert electronics from landfills but also bridge the digital divide by connecting under-resourced groups with essential technology.
To date, ERA has supported thousands of organizations like CEED, helping them enhance operations, expand digital access, and amplify their social impact.
Over 500 Charities Still Waiting for Support
There are currently over 500 registered charities across Canada on ERA’s waitlist in urgent need of laptops, computers, tablets, and phones. Businesses and individuals with unused or decommissioned electronics are encouraged to donate their devices to help fulfill this growing demand.
