The Electronic Recycling Association (ERA) has made a donation of 10 laptops to Patches 360, a community organization based in Mississauga, Ontario. This donation is set to fuel Patches 360’s Bright Hope Wonder Initiative, specifically their “NextGen Tech Explorers” program.
Patches 360 is renowned for its dedication to empowering underprivileged youth in the community. Their Bright Hope Wonder Initiative is a testament to their commitment, focusing on creating opportunities for technological exploration and learning. The “NextGen Tech Explorers” program is a pivotal part of this initiative, aiming to provide the Black, Indigenous, and People of Color (BIPOC) youth with the necessary tools and resources to thrive in an increasingly digital world.
The 10 laptops donated by ERA will enable Patches 360 to expand its reach and impact within the community. These devices will be used to facilitate coding workshops, digital literacy classes, and other tech-related activities that will inspire and educate the youth. By equipping these young minds with the tools and knowledge they need, the “NextGen Tech Explorers” program is fostering a new generation of tech-savvy individuals who are ready to take on the challenges of the future.
The Electronic Recycling Association donates refurbished technology and IT devices to a number of different organizations across Canada, varying from non-profits, charities, schools, and care centers. The ERA is proud to support the communities we operate in and work towards creating a future where technology isn’t a barrier to any individual. The ERA believes that providing laptops to the less fortunate enables unimaginable outcomes and advances in the digital era. In a world where technology links people together, our donated laptops and computers also aid in keeping recipients connected with loved ones.
