ERA Donates Laptops to the Simon House Recovery Centre

By electronic recycling association February 9, 2024

The Electronic Recycling Association (ERA) has donated 4 laptops to the Simon House Recovery Centre in Calgary. With access to these devices, clients at Simon House will now have the means to conduct job searches, attend virtual appointments, explore housing options, and engage in various online research activities.

For many individuals on the journey to recovery, access to technology is more than a convenience; it’s a necessity. In today’s digital age, opportunities for employment and essential services often require online engagement. Without access to devices like laptops, individuals in recovery may face additional barriers to securing employment, finding stable housing, or accessing vital resources.

Simon House Recovery Centre plays a vital role in supporting individuals as they work towards sustained recovery and personal growth. By equipping their clients with the tools, they need to navigate the digital landscape.

If you want to make a difference to both people in need, and the environment, then it’s time to start electronic recycling with the ERA. And it’s not as difficult as it seems. We here at the Electronic Recycling Association have made it easy for everyone. If there is any electronic device – cell phone, tablets, laptop – that you want to donate, we will take it off your hands.

You can either drop it off at one of our depots located across Canada or we can organize a pick-up at a time that suits you. It’s that easy!

Call us at 1-877-9EWASTE to see if you are eligible for a free pickup.
