The Electronic Recycling Association (ERA) recently donated 2 laptops and 2 monitors to Shomrim Toronto. This contribution will play a vital role in enhancing Shomrim Toronto’s resources, enabling them to effectively carry out their daily office tasks. With a history spanning over a year and a half, this non-profit, volunteer-based organization collaborates directly with law enforcement agencies, including the police services, RCMP, and various politicians. Their primary focus is ensuring the safety of the community.
Established in response to escalating conflicts in 2021 by community members across Toronto, Shomrim Toronto remains dedicated to community safety. In addition to offering alerts and patrols, the organization provides a 24/7 emergency line to ensure a swift 5-10 minute response along the Bathurst corridor. The recent donation from the Electronic Recycling Association further strengthens Shomrim Toronto’s capacity to fulfill its crucial role in safeguarding the community. The Electronic Recycling Association (ERA) is an organization that stands at the forefront of addressing the digital divide in Canada. Our mission is clear: to work with charities across the country and provide refurbished electronics for their programs. This includes laptops, computers, and other essential technology that can be a game-changer for charitable organizations, individuals and families facing hardship.
Get involved with the Electronic Recycling Association and help work towards a future without e-waste. Invite the ERA to your community cleanup, host an e-waste fundraiser, spend some time volunteering at the ERA, or initiate an e-waste collection at your business.
Consider dropping off your pre-loved electronics to ERA and we will work to donate them to those who need them most!
