The Electronic Recycling Association (ERA) is proud to support Drewry Secondary School with an Electronics Collection Event taking place January 19–23, 2026, at 70 Drewry Avenue, Toronto, Ontario, M2M 1C8.
This school-led initiative invites students, families, and the surrounding community to participate in responsible electronic recycling — helping protect the environment while expanding access to technology for communities in need.
Turning Old Electronics into New Opportunities
Throughout the collection week, the Drewry school community is encouraged to donate unwanted and unused electronic equipment. All collected items will be securely handled by ERA, with industry-standard data wiping performed on all data-bearing devices before equipment is refurbished for reuse or responsibly recycled.
By participating, families are helping reduce electronic waste entering landfills while enabling valuable technology to be redeployed to charities, schools, and nonprofit organizations across Canada.
Accepted Items
ERA gladly accepts a wide range of electronic and IT-related equipment, including:
- Desktop computers and towers
- Laptops and notebooks
- Tablets and iPads
- Computer monitors (LCD & LED)
- Keyboards and mice
- Printers, scanners, and fax machines
- Cell phones and smartphones
- Servers and networking equipment
- Hard drives and data storage devices
- Cables, chargers, and power supplies
All data-bearing devices are securely wiped following strict data destruction protocols.
Empowering Students Through Environmental Action
This event provides more than recycling — it creates an educational experience. Students gain hands-on understanding of the environmental impact of e-waste and the importance of responsible technology management, helping build lifelong sustainability habits and community leadership.
