ERA Partners with Bruce Public School for an Electronics Tech Drive in Toronto

By electronic recycling association December 6, 2025

The Electronic Recycling Association (ERA) is proud to partner with Bruce Public School to host an Electronics Tech Drive from December 8th to 12th, 2025, in Toronto, Ontario. This school-based initiative invites students, families, and the local community to take part in responsible electronic recycling while supporting both environmental sustainability and digital inclusion.

Turning Old Electronics into New Opportunities

During the Electronics Tech Drive, the Bruce Public School community will be encouraged to collect unwanted and unused electronic devices. These items will be securely handled by ERA, ensuring all data is properly wiped before devices are refurbished for reuse or responsibly recycled.

By participating, families are helping reduce electronic waste going to landfill while enabling usable technology to be refurbished and donated to charities, schools, and non-profit organizations in need across Canada.

✅ Accepted Items

ERA gladly accepts a wide range of electronic and IT-related equipment, including:

  • Desktop computers and computer towers
  • Laptops and notebooks
  • Tablets and iPads
  • Computer monitors (LCD and LED)
  • Keyboards and computer mice
  • Printers, scanners, and fax machines
  • Cell phones and smartphones
  • Servers and networking equipment
  • Hard drives and other data storage devices
  • Cables, chargers, and power supplies

All data-bearing devices are securely wiped following industry-standard data destruction protocols.

Empowering Students Through Environmental Action

This partnership is more than just recycling—it’s an educational opportunity. Electronics Tech Drives help students understand the environmental impact of e-waste and the importance of responsible technology disposal. By engaging youth directly, initiatives like this inspire lifelong habits around sustainability and community responsibility
