ERA & Repsol Support Alberta Collegiate Robotics with Tech

By electronic recycling association October 10, 2023

The Electronic Recycling Association (ERA) has teamed up with Repsol Canada to donate 20 desktop computers to support the expansion of Alberta Collegiate Robotics (AC Robotics) in Calgary, AB.

Alberta Collegiate Robotics has expressed a pressing need for these electronics as they undergo significant growth and aspire to enhance their capacity to offer educational opportunities to their members, students, and participants in camps and workshops. As a student-led organization that has recently undergone restructuring and expansion, they currently lack the financial resources necessary to procure a substantial number of costly items like computers. These desktop computers will empower them to provide high-quality programs with minimal or no cost to their participants, ensuring that there are no obstacles hindering access to STEAM education within our community.

AC Robotics manages multiple teams specializing in robotics across land, air, and water domains. All of their projects are designed to nurture technological talent and serve as a testing ground for students to push the boundaries of their skills and knowledge.

It’s important to note that for AC Robotics, robotics extends beyond the mere creation of robots; it serves as the focal point where they come together to learn, grow, and foster new relationships. In addition to robotics, students have the opportunity to delve into various STEAM fields, encompassing software, programming, arts, design, and more. AC Robotics truly encompasses a holistic approach to education and skill development.
