The Electronic Recycling Association (ERA) is proud to announce the donation of 10 refurbished laptops to the Alberta Health Services – Recovery Alberta – Youth Addictions and Mental Health – Forensic Adolescent Program. This vital program supports youth facing significant challenges, including mental health concerns and involvement in the justice system, by providing resources that encourage rehabilitation, education, and personal growth.
The laptops will give participating youth greater access to educational materials, online learning platforms, and communication tools — all essential in today’s digital age. By equipping them with this technology, ERA is helping bridge the digital divide and ensure young people can continue their studies, gain valuable skills, and work toward a brighter future.
In a heartfelt thank-you letter, Daniel H., Clinical Social Worker for the Forensic Adolescent Program, shared the impact of this contribution:
“Your support has made a meaningful difference in this young person’s life, enabling them to access essential educational resources and participate more fully in their academic journey. Your contribution has helped bridge a critical gap and empowered a student to pursue their studies with greater confidence and independence.”
At ERA, our mission goes beyond recycling electronics — we strive to repurpose them in ways that create lasting, positive change. This donation is one of many initiatives aimed at supporting vulnerable populations, reducing e-waste, and promoting digital inclusion across Canada.
Bojan Paduh, Founder and President of the Electronic Recycling Association, added:
“We believe that access to technology can open doors to new opportunities, especially for young people overcoming challenges. We’re honoured to support Alberta Health Services in their important work and to help empower the next generation with the tools they need to succeed.”
