ERA Supports SMB Community Enterprise Centre Through Tech Donation

By electronic recycling association December 19, 2025

As part of the Electronic Recycling Association’s (ERA) national 12 Days of Christmas Tech Donations, ERA is proud to support SMB Community Enterprise Centre through the donation of two standard desktop PCs with peripherals and one projector. This technology donation helps strengthen community-based programs that support entrepreneurship, workforce development, and local economic growth.

ERA’s 12 Days of Christmas Tech Donations initiative is designed to bridge the digital divide by ensuring refurbished technology reaches nonprofit and community organizations that rely on digital tools to serve their communities effectively.

Strengthening Community Programs Through Technology Access

MB Community Enterprise Centre plays an important role in supporting individuals, entrepreneurs, and small businesses through education, training, and community-focused programming. However, to deliver these services effectively, organizations require reliable and up-to-date technology.

With this in mind, ERA donated essential equipment to help strengthen the Centre’s operations and programming. As a result, the organization can now deliver workshops, presentations, and training sessions more efficiently.

Specifically, the donated technology will be used to:

  • Support workshops, training sessions, and community presentations through the projector
  • Improve administrative efficiency, program coordination, and digital communication using the desktop PCs
  • Enhance learning environments for participants attending in-person and group sessions

Through this support, ERA helps ensure that SMB Community Enterprise Centre can continue offering high-quality programs that meet the evolving needs of the community.

Bridging the Digital Divide for Community Organizations

Many nonprofit and community organizations continue to face barriers when accessing reliable technology. Therefore, ERA focuses on extending the life of electronics through responsible reuse while placing them where they can make the greatest impact.

By donating refurbished technology to SMB Community Enterprise Centre, ERA actively promotes digital inclusion, sustainability, and community empowerment. In turn, this support allows the organization to expand its reach and better serve local communities.

ERA’s Commitment to Technology Reuse and Community Impact

This donation reflects ERA’s continued commitment to:

  • Reducing electronic waste through responsible reuse
  • Extending the lifespan of functional electronics
  • Supporting nonprofits and community organizations with essential IT equipment

Through initiatives such as the 12 Days of Christmas Tech Donations, ERA works with organizations across Canada to ensure refurbished electronics support education, economic development, and long-term community growth.

Donate Electronics and Support Communities Across Canada

Organizations and businesses across Canada can support ERA’s mission by donating unused, surplus, or retired electronics. In doing so, donors help reduce e-waste, protect the environment, and provide essential technology to organizations that rely on digital tools to serve their communities.
