The Electronic Recycling Association (ERA) is proud to continue supporting community organizations across Canada through responsible electronics reuse and technology donations. As part of this mission, ERA recently donated one refurbished laptop to Safe Families Canada – Battlefords, helping strengthen the organization’s ability to support families during times of crisis.
Empowering Community Organizations Through Technology
Safe Families Canada – Battlefords provides compassionate, relationship-based support to families facing challenging circumstances. Their work focuses on offering stability, care, and practical assistance to parents and children when they need it most. Access to reliable technology plays a critical role in delivering these services efficiently and securely.
This donated laptop will support daily administrative tasks, communication, and coordination efforts, allowing the organization to stay connected with volunteers, partners, and families within the Battlefords community. Even a single device can make a meaningful difference by improving productivity and enabling smoother operations.
Reducing E-Waste While Creating Social Impact
At ERA, we believe that unused and gently used electronics should never go to waste when they can still serve a valuable purpose. Through our electronics recycling and refurbishment programs, donated equipment is securely wiped, professionally prepared, and redirected to charities and non-profits across Canada.
By donating technology instead of discarding it, businesses and individuals help to:
- Reduce electronic waste entering landfills
- Promote environmentally responsible recycling practices
- Support digital access for non-profits and community organizations
- Extend the life cycle of valuable IT equipment
ERA’s donation programs ensure that technology is reused safely, ethically, and in ways that directly benefit Canadian communities.
Small Donations, Big Impact
While this donation consisted of just one laptop, its impact extends far beyond the device itself. For organizations like Safe Families Canada – Battlefords, access to reliable technology helps improve service delivery, strengthen internal processes, and ultimately support families more effectively.
ERA is committed to making these connections possible by acting as a bridge between organizations with surplus electronics and charities that can benefit from them.
How You Can Get Involved
